Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for turf maintenance including the mowing and trimming of parks, greenbelts, and open space areas.
- Perform general athletic field maintenance including game preparation and field painting.
- Plant and maintain landscaping including trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Assist with maintenance of public facilities such as basketball courts, playgrounds, tennis courts, and picnic shelters.
- Assist in maintenance of irrigation systems including troubleshooting and making minor repairs.
- Perform a variety of miscellaneous maintenance duties including trash pickup and restroom cleaning.
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance on lawn and power equipment.
- Operate a motor vehicle and numerous pieces of light equipment.
- Assist in the setting up and the taking down of equipment for various Town special events
- Keep tool and equipment storage areas clean and organized.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic turf grass maintenance principles and practices.
- Ability to follow both written and oral directions.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to interact with the general public in a positive and cooperative way.
- Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with coworkers.
Education and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
