A reminder from our Utilities Department since the Fall season is upon us, it is time for everyone to winterize your irrigation system before temperatures dip to freezing levels. Remember your sewer billing will be billed by your water usage during the months of November through to the end of March, since minimal landscape irrigation takes place during these months. Now is the time to repair leaks or drips on your faucets and repair leaking toilets to save money on your water and sewer bill.

Save water, saves money.

Here are some tips:

  • Check household faucets for leaks. A faucet with even a slow drip can waste a lot of water. Just think, 15 drips per minute adds up to 788 gallons waster per year!
  • When possible keep showers to 5 minutes or less. that only uses 15-20 gallons of water.
  • Turn off the water while brushing your teeth or washing hands.
  • Run dishwashers and clothes washer only when full.
