Grand Avenue Bridge   Construction Update
The construction activity for the week of: February 8 – 14, 2016
  • For approximately three weeks, the Grand Avenue Bridge from 6th to 8th Street will have periodic variable lane closures in each direction from 9 am to 3 pm. The contractor is working to install the temporary walkway along the existing traffic bridge.
  • 7th Street will be closed both directions from Colorado Ave. to Cooper St.
  • River Street will have restricted vehicular access. traffic control in the area.
  • Interstate 70 eastbound at exit 116 will be reduced to one lane. This will be the condition throughout Phase II.
  • The contractor will be demo the catwalk from the existing pedestrian bridge to the traffic bridge. this activity will take place at night between 9 pm to 6 am. We anticipate a full closure on 7th St. during this activity.
