The CAAC (Climate Action Advisory Commission) has a established a {Climate Change Lending Library} at Town Hall for use by residents. Please check the Town website for titles and materials. Work is progressing on the CAAC page for FAQs and internet links to relevant sources of information. The CAAC will be available to answer or refer your questions to appropriate authorities until and when the page is operational. We appreciate your reviews of the materials and any discussion.

Grand Avenue Bridge   Construction Update
The construction activity for the week of: February 29 – March 6, 2016
  • Project Message:  The Grand Avenue Bridge project is on pace to meet our first project milestone. This is a win for the entire community and project team. Milestone 1 includes completion of the south causeway and installation of the temporary pedestrian walkway along the traffic bridge.
  • Traffic Impacts: I-70 Exit 116 eastbound off-ramp will be one lane configuration for several months.
  • New: Beginning Friday Match 4 at 6 pm through March 6 both eastbound on and off ramps for Exit 116 will be closed. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to 1-70 Exit 114.
  • State Hwy 82 Grand Avenue Bridge from 6th to 8th Street will have periodic closures in each direction from 9 am to 3 pm, contractor will be working on the deconstruction of the pedestrian bridge.
  • River Closures:  The Colorado River will be closed at the Grand Avenue Bridge beginning March 1 to March 13. On Sunday March 6 the river will be open, no construction activity is anticipated. The closure is due to overhead crane work.
  • The Glenwood Trail crossing at Two Rivers Park and I-70 Exit 116 is closed for approximately 4 weeks.
  • Upcoming meeting:  Attention River Users, WARR (Water Resource and Recreation) meeting at Glenwood Canyon Brew Co., February 29, 4:30 pm.
