New Castle’s New “Jolley Trail”
Volunteers from Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers along with community residents worked on a new 3/4-mile trail in New Castle, Saturday, October 4th. It runs the east side of town above McDonald’s restaurant to the west side (Walters Lane/Rt 6 intersection to the east end of downtown), allowing a safe route from one side of town to the other for hikers and mountain bikers.
The trail has been named the “Jolley Trail” in honor of the long-time ranching family in New Castle, which has made many contributions to the community.
We want to thank the Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers and community residents for their time on this great addition to our town.
