The Town of New Castle is currently accepting letters of interest to fill a vacant seat on the Town Council.
Qualifications for this position are:
  • A U.S. Citizen
  • A registered Town of New Castle voter
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A Town of New Castle resident for a minimum of twelve months

The term for this Council seat will end in April 2018.  Please submit your letter of interest to

Grand Avenue Bridge Updates
Traffic Impacts and Construction Activity for the week of May 29 to June 4

Upcoming Traffic Impact
The Exit 116 eastbound off-ramp will be in a one-lane configuration

8th Street will be closed from grand Avenue to Cooper Street, June 6 to June 13.
Grand Avenue Bridge will be down to 3 lanes starting June 6 to June 13. During the morning rush hour there will be 2 lanes given to up valley and in the evening 2 lanes for down valley.

No work is scheduled from May 27 to May 30.

Wednesday, June 1, 9 am to 2:30 pm
30 minute traffic holds in the Glenwood Canyon, expect 1 hour delays
