The Town of New Castle is currently accepting letters of interest to fill a vacant seat on the Town Council.
Qualifications for this position are:
  • A U.S. Citizen
  • A registered Town of New Castle voter
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A Town of New Castle resident for a minimum of twelve months

The term for this Council seat will end in April 2018.

Town-Wide Garage Sale
Saturday, May 21, 7 am to 12 noon

Have a garage sale at your home, the New Castle Chamber of Commerce together with the Town of New Castle will be advertising for you. Mark your garage sale with balloons, so people will know where to find you If you would like to donate your leftover items, the donation site will be open from 12 noon to 2 pm at Second Chance Thrift Store.

Grand Avenue Bridge Updates
Traffic Impacts and Construction Activity for the week of May 14 to May 22

Upcoming Traffic Impact 8th St., from grand Avenue to Cooper Avenue
8th St. will be closed from Grand Avenue to Cooper Avenue for the week of June 6 to June 13, access to the CMC parking garage will be maintained during this closure.
Project Progress: Drilling operations are completed for the Pedestrian and Traffic Bridge.
