 Pickleball Open Play (Ages 16+)
What’s Pickleball you say? It is a combination of tennis, racquetball and ping-pong.  Played on a 20×44 ft. court (indoors or out),  The great thing about Pickleball is that it takes such little time to learn how to play.  After your first twenty minutes of instruction you are well on your way to enjoying a new recreational sport. Cost: $20/$25 after the session has started, February 1-March 27, Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 pm, Elk Creek Elementary School.
Friday Art Adventures: Each week participants will dive into variety of imaginative 2D and 3D mixed media art projects.  Students will enjoy drawing, painting, foil relief, weaving, sewing, paper mache, cardboard sculpture design and more. Each monthly session will offer new creative themes and projects. Cost: $44 for Sessions 3,March 3-17; Days/Times: Fridays, 2:00-3:30 pm; Location: Community Center

Grand Avenue Bridge Project Updates

Are you a Colorado River user?
Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 5 PM at the Glenwood Springs Library. We will discuss the 2017 Colorado River closure schedule, summer 2017 season impacts and impacts to-and-from the river put-ins.
Eighth Street one-lane closure            9 AM -3 PM
Today from 9 AM to 3 PM, crews will close one lane of Eighth Street to complete improvements to the sidewalk. Flaggers will be in the area directing traffic during this lane closure
Sixth Street Lane CLOSURES                9 AM–3 PM
For the next few weeks, expect intermittent one-lane closures on Sixth Street from the GAB to Laurel Street. Stay tuned each week for an update on these closures as crews begin to work on the new roundabout and maintain construction access in the area.
Periodic one-lane closures on the GAB through February, M-F
Today from 9 AM to 3 PM, motorists should anticipate periodic one-lane closures northbound and southbound on the GAB. These one-lane closures will be intermittent as crews work on the walls for the bridge.

Steel Girders for the traffic bridge arrive next week.
