December 23 – Town Hall will close at 12 noon
December 26 – Town Hall will be closed for Christmas holiday

New Castle Recreation Dept

Registering now for the CRVL Boys Basketball, grades 3 to 6, season starts Jan 9. Cost is $60/$70 after Dec 16.Hot Shot Basketball, ages 5 to 8, season starts Feb 13. Cost is $40/$50 after Feb 1.
Futsal, ages 3 to 8 and 9 to 14, season starts January 3. Cost for ages 3 to 8 is $40/$50 after Dec 16 and cost for ages 9 to 14 is $60/$70 after Dec 16.

Eighth Street Alternating One-lane Traffic
Motorists should anticipate alternating one-lane traffic Thursday, Dec. 15 through Monday, Dec. 19 from 9 AM to 3 PM. Crews are working to complete the south sidewalk on the Eighth Street Bridge.
I-70 Exit 114 North Roundabout Lane Closures
Beginning Monday, Dec. 19 through Wednesday, Dec. 21 motorists should anticipate lane closures in the Exit 114 north roundabout.
Dedicated Left Turn Pocket to Eighth Street CLOSED
The dedicated left turn pocket on eastbound SH-82 and Eighth Street is CLOSED through Spring 2017. Motorists should continue to Ninth Street to access city streets east of Grand Avenue. CDOT traffic has added several seconds to the left turn light at Ninth Street to accommodate this closure.
On the Grand Avenue Bridge
Motorists should anticipate periodic one-lane closures northbound and southbound. Some restrictions are in place for peak hours.
Christmas and New Year’s holidays:
Some crews will continue to work on the new pedestrian bridge over the holidays. No additional traffic impacts are scheduled from Friday, Dec. 23 through Sunday, Jan. 1. Have a safe and wonderful holiday.
