  • Meeting overview – goals for the meeting, schedule, goals for park (5 minutes).
  • Consultant Presentation (15 minutes).
    • Review of GOCO Grant / Park Program.
    • Review of Existing Conditions – topography, views, relationships to adjacent properties, overall context.
    • Conceptual Framework diagram review.
    • Conceptual Plan review.
  • Group questions / answers, discussion – document and write on large flip chart on easel (20 to 30  minutes)
  • Break and conduct ‘post it note’ comments on plans (20 to 30 minutes).
  • Conclusion – recap major themes heard at meeting, discuss next steps, outline schedule (5 minutes).

New Castle is Seeking Requests for Proposals for Development of Town-Owned Land

The Town of New Castle invites individuals or firms to submit conceptual ideas for town-owned land on Main Street in downtown New Castle.

A Pre-proposal Conference will be held on September 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the town hall at 450 W Main Street, New Castle.

The deadline for Proposal submittal is Friday, September 30, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.

Accepting Letters of Interest for Vacant Council Seat

The Town of New Castle is currently accepting letters of interest to fill a vacant seat on the Town Council.

 

Qualifications for this position are:

  • A U.S. Citizen
  • A registered Town of New Castle voter
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A Town of New Castle resident for a minimum of twelve months

 

The term for this Council seat will end in April 2018.

The Town of New Castle will Coordinate with Garfield County in the November 8, 2016 General Election to Fill the Position of Mayor, Term to Expire in April 2018.

 

Nomination petitions can be picked up at the Town Hall on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, and MUST be turned in by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016.
